I’ve added Google Adsense. It’s an experiment to satisfy my curiosity, not a business plan. The mighty Google Skynet examines my prose, and once it stops its mechanical laughter, determines relevant ads to show.
It would be much more useful if I could give Google a ‘hint’ as to what to display, but in my limited investigation I found no such ability. Right now our Google masters seem to think my readers will be interested in Fourier Synthesis and Analysis.
Feedback welcome.
Hi Andrew,
The best way to optimize AdSense to your content is to use tags supplied by Google that identify which text should be weighted heavily (or ignored) by the Googlebot when it analyzes your page.
